Submissions focusing on Mediterranean coastal lagoons are especially welcome.<\/p>\n<p>Guest Editors:\u00a0Michael Wetz (<a href=\"mailto:michael.wetz@tamucc.edu\">michael.wetz@tamucc.edu<\/a>), Jennifer Pollack (<a href=\"mailto:Jennifer.pollack@tamucc.edu\">Jennifer.pollack@tamucc.edu<\/a>), Daniel Lemley (<a href=\"mailto:lemleydaniel7@gmail.com\">lemleydaniel7@gmail.com<\/a>), and Val\u00e9rie Derolez (<a href=\"mailto:valerie.derolez@ifremer.fr\">valerie.derolez@ifremer.fr<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>If interested in submitting an article to this issue, please send a <strong>draft title<\/strong> and a\u00a0<strong>250-word (max) abstract <\/strong>by <b>15 December 2021<\/b>\u00a0to Michael Wetz (<a href=\"mailto:michael.wetz@tamucc.edu\">michael.wetz@tamucc.edu<\/a>). The four co-Editors will screen all abstracts to ensure that they are of sufficient quality and fit for the issue. Authors will be notified by <strong>20\u00a0December 2021<\/strong>, as to whether or not they should proceed with the development of a full manuscript. The deadline to receive manuscripts for this issue is <strong>31 May\u00a02022<\/strong>. Once a manuscript is received, it will undergo peer-review through the\u00a0<em>Estuaries and Coasts<\/em> review system.
