{"id":19234,"date":"2023-04-17T07:57:03","date_gmt":"2023-04-17T07:57:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.futureearthcoasts.org\/?p=19234"},"modified":"2023-04-17T07:57:24","modified_gmt":"2023-04-17T07:57:24","slug":"welcome-to-join-the-fec-fellows-session-just-transitions-on-24-april","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.futureearthcoasts.org\/welcome-to-join-the-fec-fellows-session-just-transitions-on-24-april\/","title":{"rendered":"Welcome to join the FEC Fellows Session: Just Transitions on 24 April"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are happy to announce that the\u00a0<u>FEC Fellows Session \u2018Pathways to Coastal Sustainability: Just Transition\u2019<\/u>\u00a0will take place on<strong>\u00a024 April\u00a0at 9\u00a0am UTC! <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This webinar will focus on the FEC theme \u2018Pathways to Sustainability\u2019 that aims to identify plausible Pathways to coastal sustainability to avoid unwanted futures:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What are the alternatives and what changes in practices are required to transition from un-desirable to desirable trajectories?<\/li>\n<li>How can society be empowered to prioritise actions towards sustainability?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Just transitions \u2013 the idea that our responses to climate change and sustainability challenges must not leave behind the people and places who rely on resource economies \u2013 are especially significant for coastal regions globally.
