{"id":20151,"date":"2024-03-22T07:53:54","date_gmt":"2024-03-22T07:53:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.futureearthcoasts.org\/?p=20151"},"modified":"2024-05-15T01:15:04","modified_gmt":"2024-05-15T01:15:04","slug":"future-earth-coasts-tour-de-coasts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.futureearthcoasts.org\/future-earth-coasts-tour-de-coasts\/","title":{"rendered":"Future Earth Coasts &#8211; Tour de Coasts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Join us in shaping the future of our coasts by sharing your thoughts through the Tour de Coasts survey\uff1a<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/uofsc.co1.qualtrics.com\/jfe\/form\/SV_7QyLJl7VcOodZcO\">bit.ly\/tour-de-coasts<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Future Earth Coasts (FEC) and University of South Carolina researchers are launching a survey to engage the FEC network and beyond in creating a comprehensive understanding of coastal sustainability issues on a global scale.<\/p>\n<p>It has long been the <strong>goal to begin a meaningful knowledge exchange<\/strong> among the global network of FEC&#8217;s affiliated researchers and practitioners, as well as communities engaged with them.<\/p>\n<p>These <strong>partners have unique understandings of coastal sustainabili<\/strong>ty issues reflective of a variety of coastal system types, geographies, and socio-economic realities. Yet, this wealth of knowledge remains underutilized, presenting an opportunity for us to amplify our impact.<\/p>\n<p>We designed a brief survey based on the research questions identified by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frontiersin.org\/articles\/10.3389\/fmars.2020.00005\/full\">Friedman et al. (2020)<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.frontiersin.org\/articles\/10.3389\/fmars.2021.631986\/full\">Sandifer and Scott (2021)<\/a> and feedback from FEC\u2019s Executive Committee.
